All trophies remain the property of the Dutch Cavy Club and winners are responsible for the safe keeping of the trophy whilst in their care and for the safe return of the trophy the following year. To this end they are expected to arrange insurance protection to be included with the household contents cover. Reimbursement to be made to the club in the event of loss. Agreement to this arrangement is implied by the acceptance of the trophy on the show day.
